When a HVAC zone is bound to a strain, the active stage of the underlying batch (from mushroom-lifecycle) determines which row of the envelope drives setpoints.

1. Zone's active batch → lifecycle returns strain_id + current_stage.
2. HVAC calls fungi-catalog/api/strains/<strain>/envelope?stage=<stage>.
3. Catalog merges species.envelope_defaults[stage] with strain.envelope_overrides[stage] and returns the resolved bounds.
4. HVAC pushes those bounds into the PID controllers' setpoint inputs. Any operator override at this point is a deliberate deviation from the catalog truth and gets flagged.
